ARRIVAL IN MELBOURNE

International Jockeys

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE. The international jockeys, L. Piggott, of England, and M. Andreucci, of Italy, rode track work at Caulfield yesterday. Andreucci, on his first visit to Australia, arrived from Milan on Tuesday, and Piggott, accompanied by his wife, Susan, a daughter of top English trainer F. Armstrong, flew from Sydney the same night. A Caulfield trainer, B. Conaghan, arranged the track rides for the visitors. Later the two jockeys were to go to the Victorian Amateur Turf Club office for the drawing of their rides in Monday’s 10,500-dollar International Stakes at Caulfield. It will be Piggott’s third International Stakes ride. Two other international riders, Y. Saint Martin, of France, and K. Eugimura, of Japan, are due today.
