GOLFING BAN

No Decision On Players

f.V.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY. No statement is expected until next month on whether the Australian golfers, K. D. G. Nagle and L. Thomas, will be penalised for playing in the the New Zealand Open. The New South Wales P.G.A. has asked them to show why they should not be dealt with for wilful violation of the association by-laws. The Australian P.G.A. had prohibited its members from playing in the N.Z. Open because it clashed with an Australian tournament at Coifs Harbour.

Mr J. Eve, Secretarymanager of the New South Wales P.G.A. said that a special meeting begun on Monday night had not finished dealing with the case. Unless members seek a special meeting, the matter is unlikely to be raised again until the association's monthly meeting on January 9, he said.

Malvern Xl.—The following players have been selected to represent the Malvern cricket sub-association against Ashley at Sheffield next Tuesday: R. Farrant, C. Adams. N. Wright, B Bidgen, G. Wright. A. Wall, A. Wright. D. Deans. P. Blakely, J. Withers. J. Davies.
