NELSON GLASSHOUSES.—In this comparatively small area in The Wood, Nelson, is one of the largest concentrations of glasshouses in New Zealand. Of the 5 million pounds of tomatoes produced in the Nelson province yearly, the greatest part is grown in The Wood area. There are about 35 acres of tomato gardens under glass in the Nelson province and about 28 acres of these are in this small area.
