WORKS MANAGER This position reports directly to the General Manager. A mature and experienced Works Manager is sought who will be immediately able to take over the control of the Foundry, Fitting Shop, Machine Shop, and general works administration and plant control where 300-350 men are employed. There is adequate technical staff employed. The Works Manager must be the sort of man who directs the activities of the separate works sections through their Superintendents, and one who has the reputation for getting things done. This is a dynamic and active job—not one which involves time-consuming desk organisation, since detailed planning is attended to by specialist staff. We do not expect the successful applicant to be a young man. Since experience and maturity are sought, applicants will probably be at a minimum of 40 years of age.
