Father Of Six Wins Lottery
(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, Dec. 20. A factory hand in J. Wattie Canneries’ can-making plant won first prize of £12,000 in the Golden Kiwi lottery drawn yesterday. He is Mr O. O’Connor, a married man with a family of six, including three married daughters. One son is in Australia, and two others live at home. The O’Connors have no immediate plans for spending their winnings. “We’ll bank it all at present and might buy a new home some time in the next few months,” said Mrs O’Connor this morning.
