Opposed To Change
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Otago will ask the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to withdraw its recommendation to the Olympic and British Empire Games Association that the quota system should be adopted in the selection of future games teams. The annual meeting of the N.Z.A.A.A. last month decided that the present system of selection, where individual sports make nomination with the final selection in the hands of a three-man panel, should be replaced.
