"Education is indeed so much more than vocational training alone, and girls are not aware that, the prime function of all subjects is to widen horizons," the head mistress of Christchurch Girts’ High School (Miss P. M. Robinson) said at the annual prize giving yesterday. "This preoccupation with jobs should not be so strong in a country of full employment like New Zealand,” she said. The guest speaker was Mrs W. A. Pyatt. Prizes were presented by Mrs W. A. Staff, president of the Old Girls’ Association, and Mrs R. T.
