TOP LEVEL MARKETING AND MERCHANDISING CONSULTANT The consultant will be required to translate the products and departments of a number of independent retail shops into the best possible and most realistic short and long term profitability projections. He will need to possess a record of outstanding success in retail profit achievement and the proven ability to originate, and if required, implement new ideas, new product lines, training programmes and other factors which may be necessary to secure the maximum profit from each shop. The shops are located in different parts of New Zealand and local management and accounting services will give every assistance and fullest co-operation. The lines currently handled include furniture, home appliances and gift merchandise. Past and present facts and figures are available for each store and a comprehensive market research investigation is now being undertaken in the areas concerned. This extremely interesting and challenging position could be either a full or part-time appointment for a period of up to six months. It could well lead to more permanent associations with the companies concerned. Fees and other conditions of appointment will be negotiated.
