Golf Again Threatened
There were growing fears last evening that the second round of the Forest Products golf tournament at Tokoroa, abandoned yesterday because the course was under water, may not be played today. It was agreed to play the second round today and the final 36 holes on Sunday. However, torrential rain was still falling on the course late last evening and greens were flooded. If another day’s play has to be abandoned, the tournament probably will be reduced to 54 holes.
