YOUTHS FOR ANAKIWA
Few From Country
Federated Farmers was yesterday urged to nominate a farm cadet to the Outward Bound School at Anakiwa. In a letter to the North Canterbury provincial executive, a member of the Canterbury committe of Outward Bound (Mr P. D. H. Bush), said he was concerned that few country boys were nominated for Outward Bound courses. He felt that Federated Farmers should sponsor a youth such as a farm cadet. Mr Bush invited Federated Farmers to consider accompanying a group which would make a visit by air to Anakiwa early in the New Year. The meeting decided to publicise the matter in a newsletter to members.
