Laramie Fit At Awapuni

Laramie showed his appreciation for wef conditions at Awapuni yesterday morning when he galloped well with Roman Consul over seven furlongs on the course proper. Tuskar Rock, a candidate for Wanganui today, worked freely on the inside trial, but he will need firm ground to have a chance in the Wattie’s Gold Cup. On the course proper, Laramie shaded Roman Consul over seven furlongs in Imin 36sec, the last five in Imin lOsec and the last three in 41sec. Laramie has raced! poorly in recent starts. On the inside trail. Tuskar Rock, whose chance will not! be bright if it is wet at Wanganui, left sax furlongs behind in Imin 20sec, the last three in 40sec. He has done well since his good third on the first day at Woodville. |
