Several Good Gains On Rising Market
Several good gains were made on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday as the market continued to rise. Key stocks led the advance. Turn-overs were high.
K.P.N.Z. Drug Company firmed Is 6d to 38s 9d. N.Z. Refining sold 9d higher at 48s—a new peak. Southland Frozen Meat gained 9d to 18s 9d. Cable, Price, Downer, at 17s 3d and 1.C.1.N.Z., at 19s 6d each gained 6d.
The largest falls were recorded by N.Z. Refrigerating deferred shares, 6d lower at Ils 3d, Woolworths N.Z. notes, 7d lower at 9s 6d, and T. J. Edmonds, which eased Is to 31s 6d.
