Britain’s European Free Trade Association partners yesterday welcomed new British moves aimed at joining the Common Market.
A communique Issued after a one-day E.F.T.A. summit meeting said that Mr Wilson explained the purpose of his planned tour of Common Market capitals in the next few months to sound out prospects for Britain joining the E.E.C.
The E.F.T.A. summit was convened by Mr Wilson to explain his announcement on November 10 that he would soon make new soundings 'n the chances of Britain joinii t the E.E.C.
