Australia had an improved trading position in the first five months of the current financial year compared with the same period of the previous year. Figures issued today by the Commonwealth Statistician, Mr K. M. Archer, showed that for the first five months of this financial year the trading deficit was 45.3 m dollars, compared with 162.7 m dollars the previous year.
