Stephen, a Christchurch educationist now in Thailand, at the laying of the foundation stone of the agriculture building at Khon Kaen University, in north-east Thailand, by the New Zealand Ambassador (MajorGeneral Sir Stephen Weir). The building is being financed by New Zealand under the Colombo Plan. TOP: Sir Stephen Weir during the stone-laying ceremony. Khon Kaen University’s development is at present confined to the faculty of agriculture, which is supported by funds from New Zealand, and the faculty of engineering, which Canada is sponsoring under the Colombo Plan.
