SIR WALTER NASH

Medical Report Issued

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Dec. 6.

The following statement was issued today on behalf of Sir Walter Nash, who is In hospital: “Following the election campaign, during which Sir Walter Nash had a severe attack of influenza, he has now suffered a further disability, to overcome which the doctors attending him advise that he ought not undertake any further engagements during the current year.

“This means that he will not be available for any engagements, or to keep those to which he is already committed, until the end of the year.

“The medical report Is reasonably simple and not serious. It is that the strain of carrying on the work in spite of the influenza attack overtaxed the heart and, while the doctors concerned are satisfied that there is nothing serious, there is a condition that entails that Sir Walter Nash should rest as that is the only cure known.”
