Because the Avonslde Girls' High School assembly hall was not big enough to hold the whole school prise-giving ceremony, the expedient of having two ceremonies had been adopted, the chairman of the school’s board of governors <Dr. G. Jobberns) said at the junior prize-giving yesterday. The prize list Is:— Physical Education. Junior tennis singles: Lorraine Thomas. Doubles: Lorraine Thomas and Barbara Hampton.
