PUBLIC NOTICES CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD BY-LAW NO. 2—TRADE WASTES PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on the 22nd day of November, 1966, at Christchurch Drainage Board resolved to make a By-law to be known as ’’Christchurch Drainage Board By-law No. 2—Trade Wastes." The object or purport of the said By-law is: (1) To define trade wastes. (2) To require that no occupier of trade premises shall after the Ist April, 1967, discharge trade wastes to any sewer without the consent of the Board and otherwise than pursuant to the authority of the Board and In conformity with conditions set out in any consent given by the Board. (3) To require compliance with any such consent and further to require permission for any variation in the quantity or quality of such wastes or the manner of their discharge. (4) To determine trade wastes which shall be prohibited from discharge to any sewer (5) To lay down conditions concerning trade wastes as to volume, nature and strength, rate and time of discharge and temperature thereof: the exclusion of certain ingredients, and the provis ion of equipment or apparatus for controlling the same; the provision of inspection chambers or other apparatus for inspection: and the payment of a charge or charges in respect of the acceptance and disposal thereof. FURTHER PUBLIC NOTICE IS GIVEN that the said resolution will be submitted to a special meeting of the Board to be held at the Board’s Office, 233 Cambridge terrace. Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 21st day of December, 1966, at 5 p.m., for confirmation as a special order.
