Under-14 Win Over Otago
The Canterbury under-14 cricket representative, Fraser, took eight wickets and scored 73 not out when Canterbury recovered well to head Otago by 154 runs on the first innings. After Canterbury had been six for 33, Fraser and Ball ' added 80 for the seventh wicket. When Otago batted Fraser . took eight wickets for 25 runs, ; finishing the innings with three • wickets off four balls. In the under-16 game Calder (Canterbury), with six wickets, ' and Gavagahn (Otago), who ’ took seven for 19 in 17 overs, enjoyed considerable success. .
