Burglary Charges
Four youths, aged 17 to 19 were arrested by Christchurch detectives yesterday. They will face 15 charges of burglary involving about £4OO In cash. The arrests were made j after inquiries into the entry of the Dominion Radio and Electrical Corporation’s premises at Sockburn on Thursday night The safe in the office was cut open with an oxy-acetelyne torch and £129 was stolen. Between Friday evening and Monday afternoon, the C. 1.8. arrested 10 persons on charges of burglary, two on charges of receiving and one on a charge of theft. Four thefts and five burglaries were reported to the police in the same period. A wall safe in the premises of C.F.M. Sales, Ltd., 511 Papanui road, was opened and £75 in cash stolen.
