(N Z. Press Association > WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. Although more special votes were cast at the 1966 General Election, indications were that the poll was definitely lighter than in 1963, the Chief Electoral Officer (Mr J. G. A’Court) said yesterday. In 1963, special votes 'comprised 9.6 per cent of the electoral roll total, and the percentage for 1966 was between 9.6 and 9.7, he said. The first preliminary total for special votes was 136,000, about 6000 more than 1963.
