WORLD PEACE ESSAY
Local Judges Chosen
Christchurch area judges for the Lions International peace essay contest have now been chosen. They are:—
District judges, Professor N. C. Phillips, Messrs W. R. Lascelles and G. Burns. Christchurch club, the Mayor (Mr G. Manning), the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) and Mr R. E. Smith.
New Brighton club, Dr. E. I. S. Kincaid, Messrs F. R. Price and J. O. Moody. Christchurch South club, Messrs R. T. Brittenden, W. J. A. Brittenden and A. I. Cottrell.
Lyttelton club, Messrs B. Smith and J. W. Leslie, and the Rev. J. Tennant.
The world-wide essay contest is to focus attention on the desirability of searching for ideas and developing a plan to make world peace a reality. It is open to anyone between the ages of 14 and 22 on January 15, 1967.
