Warning By Mr Eyre

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Nov. 30.

A warning against overcharging tourists was given by the retiring Minister of Tourism (Mr Eyre) today at a farewell given by the national executive of the Travel and Holidays Association in Wellington. Mr Eyre said tourists should not be overcharged in any way, wittingly or unwittingly. Prices had to be competitive in New Zealand because tourism was competitive. “I hope that whatever I do in the future, I may be able to help the tourist industry,” he said.
