RED CROSS OPENS QUI NHON FUND
The New Zealand Red Cross Society has opened a fund to assist the New Zealand medical team at Qui Nhon.
The objects of the fund are to provide items which cannot conveniently be supplied through official sources, either by the United States or the New Zealand Government, to provide material and equipment in accordance with the priorities forwarded from the medical team, and to assist the team in every possible way.
The secretary of the North Canterbury centre of the Red Cross Society (Mr R. J. Lipscombe) said that with its vast experience of providing medical and other forms of relief aid to needy persons or countries, the Red Cross would see that any donations received from the public were applied for the purpose for which they were intended. Donations should be sent to the Secretary, Red Cross Society, P.O. Box 217, Christchurch.
