Marrickville Holdings, Ltd., which has been at the centre of the recent controversy over margarine quotas, achieved a 19.5 per cent increase in profit for the year to June 30. Group profit rose 196,531 dollars to 1,205,257 dollars. In the previous year profit had fallen by 217,528 dollars. The latest result gives an earning rate of 20.4 per cent on ordinary capital compared with 17.2 per cent for 196465. Dividend is held at 15 per cent for the year and includes a steady final of 7J per cent. Directors do not comment on the result in their preliminary report which is appreciably later this year than last.
