All Sections Gain On Rising Market
All sections of the market improved as share prices continued the upward trend on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. The overseas list shared in the gains. Key stocks led the active trading.
Moves were narrow, but Woolworths provided a highlight with a rise of lOd to Ils 6d. Gains of 3d were shown by Canterbury Frozen Meat, Early Brothers, Farmers Trading Company, 1.C.1.N.Z., Kaiapoi-Petone, Rothmans, South British Insurance, Winstone, and Wright Stephenson. National Insurance rose 6d to 25s 9d, a new peak for the year.
