First Honorary Degree

HAMILTON, Nov. 28.
The first honorary degree of the University of Waikato, a doctorate, will be conferred on the Governor-General (Sir Bernard Fergusson) at its first graduation ceremony on March 2. Sir Bernard Fergusson, who opened the university in February, 1965, is the Visitor to the university.
