ORGANISERS SUGGESTED
Union Plan
The New Zealand Timber Workers’ Union might close some of its branches in the North Island and replace them with organisers, the union’s national president (Mr L. Cooper) said in Christchurch yesterday.
He said it had been a costly structure to have the branches set up and that the union might also find it worth while to send an organiser to assist the South Island secretary (Mr N. S. Wills) for part of the year.
