PROJECTS ON N.Z.
Bicycles As Prizes
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright)
LONDON, Nov. 28.
Dozens of primary and secondary school children in the border counties are completing special projects about New Zealand in a bid to win a bicycle. The competition was launched by the New Zealand Government during a New Zealand fortnight in the border counties, arranged to promote New Zealand goods.
Officials at New Zealand House said today that the response by children in the area had been most pleasing. It was planned, they said, to give a cycle to the winner of each of four classes into which the competition had been organised. Some consolation prizes of books would also be distributed.
