POLLUTION OF AIR
Devices For German Cars
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BONN, Nov. 29. West German motorists will have to fit devices on their cars from next summer to prevent air pollution, the Health and Traffic Ministries have ruled.
A new regulation will limit the concentration of noxious gases in car exhausts, and tests are being carried out to determine the limits of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons.
Under another regulation, hydro-carbons collecting in the crankshaft housing will be led back to the air intake and made harmless by reburning.
