Sellers In Evidence As Market Falls
Sellers were evident on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday as the market reversed its trend, falls outnumbering rises three to one. Turn-over was slightly below average. Leaders led the weakening trend, but overseas shares firmed a little. Associated British Cables lost 4d to 18s 2d. Tasman fell 9d to 47s 9d, and N.Z. Forest Products 3d to 21s 4d. Rothmans, at 245, and South British Insurance, at 29s 6d, fell 6d each. New Zealand Insurance declined 3d to 23s 3d. New Zealand Refining lost 9d of recent gains to sell at 46s 9d.
