“This council is definitely not in a position to contribute,” said the chairman (Mr C. D. Le Comte) when the Heathcote County Council last night discussed the proposal that metropolitan councils combined to buy the Mona Vale property. “I know if we don't participate, we will be criticised: but financially, we have plenty on our plate,” he said. Thompson said a decision should be delayed until the council heard the Regional Planning Authority’s proposals The council decided to defer a decision.
