Programmer ‘Favourable’
The Building Programmer (Mr R. S. Paris) is prepared to consider favourably any Christchurch application which can proceed immediately, according to a telegram received by the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake). At an election meeting this week, the Minister read the following telegram which he said he had received from the Building Programmer: “To the best of my knowledge, no deferred applications for building permits are in a position to go to tender immediately. Am prepared to consider favourably any application which can proceed forthwith.”
