‘No Barrier To Entry’

The French Prime Minister (Mr Pompidou) said last night that he could not see anything to prevent Britain entering the Common Market if she was prepared to accept the rules.
Mr Pompidou, speaking at a dinner of 600 French financiers and economists, said: “If Great Britain is ready to accept the rules of th». Community, if she is ready with the reservation of a certain delay to assume them fully— I do not see what could prevent her entering the Common Market.”
