NEW C.S.B. BRANCH

The Canterbury Savings Bank will open its twentyfourth branch today. The new branch is at Bishopdale, where the bank occupies a part of the frontage of Naysmith’s Home Appliance store in Farrington avenue. The president of the Canterbury Savings Bank (Mr G. R. Burrowes) will open the branch at 10 a.m., but the doors will be open for normal business at 9 a.m.

The bank opened its twenty-third branch in Richmond, near Nelson, two months ago. The Canterbury Savings Bank now has more than 60,000 depositors and has £11,900,000 in depositors’ funds.
