CZECH CAR OWNERS
Higher Ratio Sought (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter) PRAGUE. Czechoslovakia, with one car to every 35 persons, claims the highest ratio of cars in the Communist bloc of nations. But the authorities admit this is lagging far behind Western countries and aim to achieve a ratio of one car to every six persons by 1980. Close behind Czechoslovakia comes East Germany with one car to every 38 persons. Czechoslovakia, East Germany and the Soviet Union are the main producers of private cars in the bloc.
