Tried To Beat Train
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 22. An eight-year-old boy was rushed to Auckland Hospital with head and leg injuries after being hit by a train on a crossing in Boston road, Mount Eden, today. Gary Hensleigh was going home from school and tried to run across the crossing after the warning ’ barriers had been lowered. He was hit by the front of the train and thrown clear of the track. His condition is serious.
