NEW DEGREE COURSE
Agricultural Engineering Teaching for a new degree in agricultural engineering will start at Lincoln College next year. Professor J. R. Burton, head of the agricultural engineering department at the college, said that the new degree represented a co-operative programme between the college and the School of Engineering at the University of Canterbury. It was a four-year bachelor of engineering programme aimed at producing professional engineers, with a strong agricultural background, and particularly to work for catchment boards and the Ministry of Works in the water and soil conservation fields.
