Archer Sought In Melbourne
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A > SYDNEY, Nov. 22. Melbourne police are seeking a phantom archer who has been firing six-inch, needle-sharp darts from the top of an 11-storey city building. They believe he fired at least 35 darts in one day last week. One of them narrowly missed a 23-year-old hostessdriver, Miss Gail Freyberg. who was sitting in a parked car in Collins street, the dart penetrated a quarter of an inch into the sun visor of her car. Police believe the darts are being fired from a cross-bow or by a powerful spring through a barrel.
