ACTION BY UNION
The Canterbury Carpenters’ Union on Monday evening decided to intensify industrial action in its dispute against the Fletcher Construction Company. The dispute is over conditions and pay rates. “We decided on 'no give in’,” said the union’s secretary (Mr R. J. Pitcairn). , The union held its regular monthly meeting in the Trades Hall.
