MEAT ON FRIDAYS

Ban May Still Apply In N.Z.

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Nov. 21.

Roman Catholics in the United States may eat meat on Fridays from December 2. The relaxation does not include the six Fridays during Lent. "Decisions of this nature are up to the bishops of each country,” the church spokesman said. “So New Zealand will not necessarily follow the United States.”
