CHURCH AID FILM FOR TV
“The Long March,” a documentary described as “a powerful film showing interchurch aid in action around the world,” would be shown on all four New Zealand television channels during December, said Mr F. G. Heard, inter-church aid secretary for the National Council of Churches.
The film, produced by the British Council of Churches, will be shown in Christchurch on December 4; in Dunedin and Auckland on December 11; and in Wellington on December 18.
The two copies owned by the National Council of Churches are heavily booked for showings by congregations. They are “fairly rattling like peas in a drum around the country,” Mr Heard said.
At present there are at least 40 groups waiting for bookings.
