. A tiled roof, two-storey weatherboard bungalow at 111 Bealey avenue was sold for [ £6450 at public auction. The property was offered on account of the estate of H. C. D- Van Asch by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr D. Chapman. The house has a reception hall with cloakroom, lounge, dinette, sunroom, three bedrooms and bathroom. There is also a double garage on the section of 271 perches. The initial bid was £4500. There were seven bids if £250, and two of £lOO. A shop on a section of 7,1 perches at 353 Colombo street, Sydenham, has been sold by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The property was passed in at £2300 when offered at auction.
