“Refuse To Vote”
(New Zealand Press Associations
WELLINGTON, Nov. 27
A ‘’refuse to vote" campaign is being conducted by the New Zealand Aid Rhodesia movement Hundreds of pamphlets urging abstention from roting in the General Election on Saturday have been distributed to marginal electorates. The movement claims this is the only way of
expressing disgust at the Government's policy on Rhodesia.
“To vote for a party that imposes sanctions against Rhodesia is to vote for the spread of world Communism in Africa." says a statement on the front page of the pamphlet. Sufficient refusals to vote would reduce the margin between the two main parties.
