Battery Rabbits

LONDON, Nov. 21.
British agricultural experts are working on a “super” breed of rabbit which they hope will boost the nation’s meat production. A spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture said the table rabbit would be a hybrid with all the economic qualities for economic meat production. The rabbits would be produced in insulated indoor hutches fitted with central heating to protect the animals from temperature extremes.
