(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE. W. Shoemaker, America's top jockey, will be unable to ride in the International Stakes at Caulfield on Boxing Day. Mr J. Reilly, the V.A.T.C. joint chief executive, received a cable stating that heavy commitments at Santa Anita over the Christmas period meant Shoemaker’s refusal.
