Transalpine Line

The railway to the West Coast would be called the transalpine line the president of the South Island Publicity Association (Mr H. P. Smith) told the association's executive council in Christchurch. Improved railway facilities had been discussed with the Minister of Transport (Mr McAlpine) and he would look at some of the association’s suggestions.
