APPLICATIONS are invited for appointment to two vacant posts, one at Senior Lecturer and one at Lecturer level, in the Department of Forestry of the Faculty of Science. The appointee will be expected to take up duties as early as possible in 1967 Interest in experimental work Is desirable and good facilities are available for research and for the supervision of postgraduate students. APPOINTMENT IN ENGINEER ING. Qualifications —a degree in engineering or forestry. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for courses in surveying, roading, hydrology, systems analysis and use of machinery in forest operations. APPOINTMENT IN FOREST UTILISATION. Qualifications—a degree in forestry with detailed experience of some aspects of forest utilisation. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for courses in logging. sawmilling, timber hand ling, timber mechanics, forest products and the various wood utilisation industries. Salary on appointment will be in accordance with qualificatons and experience within the range: senior lecturer $6500 x $220 —$7600 per annum; lecturer $4BOO x $220—56340 per annum Australian currency.
