For the first year of training, appointees will be at Head Office, Ministry of Works, Wellington, where they will undergo an intensive course aimed at completing the first two years of the Technicians’ Certification Authority Course in one year. After initial training, appointees may be posted to a centre near home. Promising cadets may be i given further opportunity for concentrated study at Head ; Office. Applicants should have passed the School Certificate examinajtion with Mathematics and/or [Physics but preference will be given to those who have passed the University Entrance Examination or who are attempting it this year. Successful applicants will be .required to enter into a bond ’to remain with the Public Service for two years after the initial year of training.
