50,000 Copies Sold
The Canterbury author, Mrs Mona Anderson, has sold 50,000 copies of her first book. “A River Rules My Life.” Yesterday, to mark the occasion, a function was Bheld at Whitcombe and Tombs. Mrs Anderson
was presented with an oil painting of the cover of her new book “Over the River,” by Mr T. O. Kennedy (above) on behalf of her publisher, A. H. and W. H. Reid. The painting, iff a jet boat on the river, is by Mr D. Neilson. i y
After the presentation, Mrs Anderson autographed copies of “Over the River.” A large queue, mainly women stretched halfway down the shop. Some of the women had brought bunches of flowers for Mrs Anderson.
